Betty Galvan
FOUNDER + CEO
Originally from Chicago, Betty is a proud first-generation Mexican-American. She graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a major in English and a minor in Secondary Education. Prior to her husband’s transfer to Tokyo in 2006, Betty taught middle school Language Arts and Reading. Tokyo was where she found preschool teaching and documenting online her experience of raising a Spanish-speaking son in Asia so fulfilling! As an early adopter of creating and pushing content out on social, Betty considers herself a Social Media OG.
When not scrolling through TikTok or riding her Peloton, Betty can be found on a field (soccer, football, or baseball) or on a tennis court. She lives in NJ with her husband, 3 boys, and rescue pup, Bella.
Telma Garcia
CREATIVE DIRECTOR + LEAD ACCOUNT MANAGER
Telma Garcia is the Lead Project Manager, Content Creator, and Social Media Manager. Telma holds a bachelor’s degree in science and previously worked as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for 10 years in a hospital lab and an oncology clinic. She craved a more creative and social career that was fun but also helped people and businesses grow.
Telma has been a content creator for 10 years and started with her lifestyle blog, At The Fire Hydrant. With over 8 years of Project Management experience, Telma has also worked as a Project Manager for #WeAllGrow Latina, a community of social media influencers and content creators, and a Project Manager for Society Culinaria, a digital marketing network for culinary and food influencers and content creators.
She currently resides in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband, two daughters, and four dogs. She also is the co-founder of San Antonio R.O.C.K.S., a local dog rescue organization.
Cindy Olsen
DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT + CONTENT CREATOR
Cindy graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance from Kansas State University. She worked in the medical insurance industry for 8 years, with her latest role as a Systems Project Manager. While Cindy has an extensive analytical and project management background, she was ready to pursue a career that allowed her to blend her love of content creation with business.
In her spare time, Cindy loves creating her own fashion and beauty content.
Laura Sinins
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS + LEAD COPY EDITOR
Laura is a former attorney who worked her entire legal career as an Assistant Prosecutor in Monmouth County, NJ. As a lawyer, Laura spent many hours drafting legal briefs and developed a penchant for proper grammar. After being a stay-at-home mom for 13 years, Laura joined the MFBS team in March of 2020. She is thrilled to be working with such a fun and dynamic group of women.
A lifetime New Jerseyan, Laura loves spending the summer at the beach with her husband and daughter.
Melissa Perez
ACCOUNT MANAGER + CONTENT CREATOR
Melissa is currently a work-from-home mom. After spending time at Columbia College Chicago honing skills in art and photography, she worked in the medical field, where she spent 15 years dedicated to helping others. When her daughter was born, Melissa decided to leave her career in the medical field to spend time at home. She is thrilled to be using her creative skills as a Content Creator and Project Manager with the MFBS team.
Alexis Banda
ACCOUNT MANAGER + CONTENT CREATOR
Alexis began her time with MFBS in the spring of 2020. As a Project Manager with MFBS, she specializes in telling the journeys and triumphs of our service-provider clients (mental health, physical therapy, alternative medicine, and more).
With a background in live entertainment and events, Alexis is familiar with the power of storytelling and amusement, and carries that value with her as she creates content for her clients.
When not doodling on her iPad, you can find Alexis in the bleachers of a baseball game or testing yet another chocolate chip cookie recipe.
