Casa, For YOU

Where Shall I Sit, Gentlemen?

August 17, 2012

This is our kitchen. It’s a modest size and I love the appliances. The fridge is the best but you can’t see it here. The problem right now is this…

Not the kids!! The table! This table is from Japan. Jose and I started off in Japan as a family of two and had a nice tiny apartment. We bought this table with 2 chairs and it extends so we placed Santi’s high chair at the end and we dragged in a dining room chair when we were four. Now we are five! We just attached the space-saver high chair for Jordi that both Diego and Santi used. I’m not dragging another chair in AND I really don’t want three meals a day done in the dining room. I grew up Mexican…the dining room is for special occasions, unless I put plastic covers on my cloth seats…jajaja! Sorry mami! So I’m shopping for a table and I think it should be white. I know, I know! With three boys? BUT, look at my cabinets. They are white. The table must also seat five. So I found this from Crate and Barrel

and this from Pottery Barn

and then I got a little crazy (and distracted) and just wished for this from someone’s dream board on Pinterest

I’ll let you know what we end up getting. Jose might just veto the whole thing. We always plan to re-do a room and then forget about it. It isn’t easy to shop for furniture with 3 boys! But maybe you have a store recommendation for me? Something on-line?? Help!

Have a great weekend!

Round definitely seems to always be more comfortable. Try we’ve bought a a tempur-pedic mattress from there and I am currently shopping for a headboard there too.

    Good luck!

I agree with overstock. I like the simplicity of the shipping; no crazy fees, and you can return it easily. My current dining table is from Crate and Barrel though, and it was pretty simple to set up.

We have the white one from pottery barn but it’s in black. love it!!! It actually has a leaf so it becomes bigger. We use it every day and it fits four spaciously. We also use it when we host. Definitely fits six people! I vote Pottery Barn.

Wait. I miss spoke. The table we have is not the one featured in your blog from Pottery Barn however it’s very similar to the one you have here from Crate and Barrel…check it out maybe PB still carries it. It’s only worth it if it has a leaf.
