Well Wishes

May 23, 2013

Monday’s post had me reminiscing of the good old days. How sweet was it that we used to take the time to write notes to friends at the end of the school year? Like, with pen and paper, I mean. According to my witness Jose, his niece who just graduated high school, did have an autograph book for people to sign! Hurray!

I love the images I found of vintage notes written in old autograph books:

Some messages so eloquent and sweet. Some, not so much! jajaja!

Do you still have your old autograph books? I do not πŸ™

My nefew is graduating from 8th grade this year and I too was wondering if they did an autogragh book or even wrote on each others shirts πŸ™‚

    But I must confess . . .

Guilty! I still have my autogragh book from 8th grade πŸ˜‰ Although it means a trip to my parents house without the kids, it’s a risk I’m willing to take πŸ˜€
I’ll keep you posted if I’m successful in locating it.

Oh I need to find mine! I know I have my yearbooks πŸ™‚ We were just talking about how still love to get their yearbook although pictures are so accessible electronically now. We can to the conclusion that’s it may be because the yearbook is the entire school where as the pictures on the electronic devices may be of their current friends. I love looking back at yearbooks too!!!

Although we have yearbooks at our school, many students don’t buy one. I have my students decorate covers and then we make a book to be used for autographs the last week of school. I was able to do that with two grade levels this year. One less thing for the classroom teacher to do. That’ll have to be one of my blog posts πŸ˜‰
