Valentine Date GIVEAWAY For You and Your Child!

vday giveaway

For just one week every month, I have after school carpool duty. I hire a babysitter for the little ones and off I go to pick up Diego and his three buddies from school. Once I drop off the other boys to their homes or play dates, I take Diego to a “mommy-and-me” coffee (milk for him) date. He loves it and I love it. Knowing that it is so important to have one-on-one time with each boy, I really look forward to alone time with my oldest. We talk about our day and we share treats and we always end up reading something together or individually.

Because Amazon let me keep a second copy of both Raising Happiness: 10 Simple Steps for More Joyful Kids and Happier Parents (remember this post?) and Valentine’s Day Is, I thought, why not pair them up, give the brand new copies to a My Friend Betty Says awesome reader and add $15 Starbucks gift card from me? Instant date with your little one!

To enter: simply leave a comment below telling us who your little date would be.

If you want to add more entries (and increase your chances of winning!) follow My Friend Betty Says on Facebook.

You can also follow me on Twitter and tweet this: #Giveaway! Valentine Date for you and your child from @myfriendbetty

Please remember to post a different comment for each entry!!!

Entry dates: Tuesday, January 29th-Sunday, February 10th (11:59pm Eastern Time)

Winner (Random.org) will be announced here on my blog on Monday, February 11th.

Disclosure: This is not a sponsored post. I did receive free copies from Amazon (I have my own) and the $15 Starbucks gift card is from me.

Good Luck!!!!

  2. As you know I have 4 little ones (9, 6, 4 & 2)! This year I thought of having “Our Date”! Your idea is right up my alley with a twist: both parents with ONE child and he selects where to go and what to eat on our date ;-)

I would love to be selected because after 9 1/2 years of employment with Nordstrom, next month, I will be laid off with no promises there after. I’m not angry or scared but I would love to continue my promise for my family and my children.

I would invite my oldest on this date! I don’t drink coffee but he and I do enjoy both hot and iced teas. I would enjoy reading books about love to him and how I desired for someone like him in my life!

Thank you for the opportunity and like always this platform for sharing! <3

  3. I have many little people to choose from, but since one of my teenagers will be hitting 14 on the day after vday, I’d make her my date. Who says.little can’t be at any age.. Lol

  24. I don’t know why but Caro and I have the same thoughts, before I read her post I was thinking about the same thing…. Splitting the dates in three I think 15 is enough money for all of us since I always get regular coffee and the kids coco.

  25. I would take my Mya on a date. I am lucky that we both are alike in the way we like to spend time together. Whether it is going on a quick girl shopping trip, sitting on the couch next to each other, or doing crafts. I feel so blessed to get a chance to experience motherhood having a daughter. (crossing my fingers)

  26. My niece Lily!!!!

  27. Nephew, Lucca!!

  28. Although I spend my entire day with my little love ( almost 5 months old!), he would be my special date. As much as I want him to stay small forever, I truly feel overwhelming joy and pride watching him grow, interact and discover new objects ( he recently discovered his toes!). I think mommy and me dates is wonderful idea because not only does your little date feel special, it also can grow into strong relationship with your child. Crossing my fingers! Good luck to everyone else!

  29. I would take Benicio- my nephew!!!!

  35. Jill Myrick says:

My husband is out to really late on Fridays so we have the evening together.
We would go for a hot chocolate and to share a muffin and talk and laugh about our day. And would finish the evening by reading a book before bed.
