I’m back from my 20th high school reunion! And this short trip to Chicago was not an easy one.
I was supposed to leave on a 8:30p flight on Friday night, I was dressed in the CAbi Traveler Pant, and was ready to go to the airport when I received a text message at 5:30p notifying me that my flight was canceled. Grrr.
I surrendered. I didn’t panic. I called the airline to reschedule my flight for Saturday (same day as the reunion!), had a glass of wine with my parents and Hubby and played Candyland with the boys. When I went to bed, I laid out the exact same outfit I was wearing so I could get dressed quickly at 4:30 in the morning. No shame in my travel outfit game.
On Saturday morning, I arrived to the airport super early for my 8:05a flight only to find out that the flight was overbooked and my confirmation number didn’t even exist. This time I was ready to cry. Wait. I DID cry because they could only put me on a 2:00p flight that would arrive in Chicago at the same the reunion was supposed to start!! Grrrr.
But the travel Gods intervened and I miraculously got on an 8:30a flight via stand-by! I made it to Chicago in time for breakfast with my siblings and had a nice shopping day with my sister…in my Traveler Pants until I got ready for the big night! No wrinkles, no saggy or stretch in these pants. Super comfy and worth every penny. Please make sure you see Jennifer McHenry’s name under “your stylist” on the top right hand corner HERE.
I hope you had a great weekend! Please follow me on Snapchat for all the behind-the-scenes! @MyFriendBetty! Ps. This is what I wore to the reunion.
