Fresh Ideas for the Bedroom

Hi! It’s Cristalia from today with a home decor post.

Changing up the bedroom for a fresh new look doesn’t require too many things. I like my duvet covers in neutral colors which only require adding a few fun cushions, bright curtains and a few glassware accents to make the bedroom look different every season. If you are looking to change up the duvet for a bright and colorful one, pick simple patterns in the green, blue and yellow color range, those colors are perfect for the summer season ahead. Want to go for a bolder look? Add a pop of pink in details such as a cushion or lamp.

Wreaths For The Fall Season

Hello again! It’s Cristalia, from, and I am back to get the Fall decor talk started. There is something about Fall season that makes us want to be home, get cozy and sip on a cup of a hot drink while watching TV with the family. The cool weather has made me want to start looking for holiday decor and what best way to start than from the entrance of a home? I usually get my wreaths at Target because they carry beautiful ones in stores, but I didn’t see any I liked online. Here are six beautiful Fall wreaths to adorn your door. I divided them into mass produced versus handmade and you can probably figure out which ones are which by looking at the prices.

Do you use wreaths all year round or only during the holidays? Which one is your favorite?  I’d love to hear from you in the comments.

Sunny Study Room

Hurray for this weekend’s project! Boooo to losing my Pink sun room and to not having a proper kitchen table yet. I’m still working on other projects around the house and I must stop using Pinterest because my list of home improvements keeps getting longer! ha!

What was super important to do was to get Diego (and us) organized for school. We already forgot the backpack once, misplaced a piano folder and Santi nearly spilled his milk all over the kitchen table while Diego was working on homework. So look!! New desk and new bookshelf! We had planned on doing this room around Christmas but realized we could all use it a little sooner. My babies are growing up…

Little details: We made sure the Lazy Susan included supplies (washable supplies!) for Santi too. There are 2 boxes of crayons, glue sticks, scissors, color pencils, tape and a roll of white paper that hangs on the side of the table (yay Pottery Barn designers!). The drawers hold notebooks and activity books. All easy access for Diego’s homework time. You should see Santi imitate Diego. I’ll have to capture a scene and share with you! [Read more…]
