Hurray for this weekend’s project! Boooo to losing my Pink sun room and to not having a proper kitchen table yet. I’m still working on other projects around the house and I must stop using Pinterest because my list of home improvements keeps getting longer! ha!
What was super important to do was to get Diego (and us) organized for school. We already forgot the backpack once, misplaced a piano folder and Santi nearly spilled his milk all over the kitchen table while Diego was working on homework. So look!! New desk and new bookshelf! We had planned on doing this room around Christmas but realized we could all use it a little sooner. My babies are growing up…

Little details: We made sure the Lazy Susan included supplies (washable supplies!) for Santi too. There are 2 boxes of crayons, glue sticks, scissors, color pencils, tape and a roll of white paper that hangs on the side of the table (yay Pottery Barn designers!). The drawers hold notebooks and activity books. All easy access for Diego’s homework time. You should see Santi imitate Diego. I’ll have to capture a scene and share with you!

Over in the bookshelf we still need to find letter holders to hold all things Spanish, piano and school papers. The second shelf holds books for all three boys and the baskets on the bottom shelf or floor are filled with “smart” toys like Legos and building blocks.
Jose and I were not home when Diego arrived from school to find the room done. My mom said the look on his face was priceless. What was great for me was to hear Diego’s excited little voice thanking us for buying him a desk and scissors and glue over the phone. So cute.
What do you think about adding those cling-on window decorations? Should we use seasonal ones? Decorate for Halloween first?
Would love to know what you think!

Love the lazy Susan .
The little things!
Daniella and I Halloween-ified the house this weekend. Would love to send some pics. We usually decorate for Halloween. In November we combine Fall and Thanksgiving.

Looks awesome! We too purchased a desk. It’s mainly right now for Aleiyah. I do have to organize them and have her supplies set up. Right now it’s all in the drawers. We purchased the desk when we had gotten them full size bunk beds. I wish I had EXTRA room to separate them both as well as a study room.
Betty I’m always so impressed with what you do to your house! Mine looks nothing like this lol. Although my 2yo has his fun little table that he spends all day at, even though it’s all scribbled with crayons all over! More importantly, I love how you prioritize a study “concentration” room. Kids need a space or a desk devoted to their projects and learning, so what you’ve done here is awesome!

Thanks ladies! And yes, Nina I missed talking about how important it is to have a designated area for studying. We are lucky to have this extra space for them.
