Mis Primeras Mañanitas with Fisher Price and GIVEAWAY

July 16, 2014

This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Fisher-Price® and Latina Mom Bloggers. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

I will always carry the sweet memory of waking up to my mom fiddling with the cassette player on our birthdays. Pedro Infante’s voice will burst out of our boom box and fill the whole apartment with the famous Mexican birthday song, “Las Mañanitas.” My mom did it for all three of us and even if we were awake, we would wait in bed pretending to sleep and waited for the yearly serenade.

The memories are priceless and I am thrilled to write that Fisher-Price® is announcing the first-ever Hispanic dedicated program that will connect directly with millennial moms through the Mis Primeras Mañanitas campaign, which is centered on a key milestone moment in their child’s life – Baby’s First Birthday. “Las Mañanitas”, a song that highlights the love and optimism that a mom feels on her baby’s special day is important to so many of us modern mamis, and I’m excited that Fisher-Price® is helping us celebrate.

To help kick of the celebration, head over to Fisher-Price® Mis Primeras Mañanitas Sweepstakes to enter for a chance to win a party prize pack and a bundle of 12 toys! Here are some of the toys and prizes included:

A party kit (party invites, favors and decorations, and a customized cake!)
Fisher-Price® Baby’s First BlocksTM
Fisher-Price® Rock-A-Stack®
Fisher-Price® Laugh Brilliant Basics™ Corn Popper®
Fisher-Price® Little People ® Lil’ Movers™ School Bus….and more!

Mis Primeras Mañanitas will also serve as a resource hub to help moms access unique and creative ideas for baby’s first birthday party. Moms will be able to find decorating, recipe and gift ideas to help make their little one’s first birthday extra special. You know that your friend Betty will be checking all of those resources out!

All of this is so close to my heart. I can’t stop thinking about my mom and those special mornings. To help launch the Primeras Mañanitas campaign, I’m hosting my own #FPMiPrimerCumple GIVEAWAY here on My Friend Betty Says! After you enter Fisher-Price® sweepstakes (you’ll get and additional entry here) enter for a chance to win a Fisher-Price® Laugh & LearnTM Crawl Around TM Car (Retail value $59.99) by following the steps in the Rafflecopter below. When I was five it just so happened to fall on Easter and my birthday was bunny themed complete with a big bunny cake, stuffed bunnies and the works. It was and still is my most memorable birthday.
