Minted for the Holidays

October 26, 2016

This post is in collaboration with Minted and WeAllGrow Latina Network. However, all opinions and statements are my own.

As soon as Halloween is over, I start to get organized for the holidays. Would you believe me if I told you that my holiday cards are usually ready by Thanksgiving? It’s true! The boys have already met with Chitra (MFBS photographer!) and I can’t wait to see the results. The next step is never easy, but it is fun! I take my time to look and pick through hundreds of holiday cards. I want my family and friends to know that we are always thinking of them and want to send something beautiful. Last year, we sent a little message to the universe. Our card said, “Holiday Wishes” and the boys were all dressed in their Chicago Cubs jerseys! It looks like everyone else wished really hard too. 😉

This year I’m trying Minted for the first time. Minted is a design marketplace of independent artists from around the globe. All holiday cards are available with matching custom stamps, envelope designs and FREE recipient addressing. You can save time and make your holiday card beautiful from the inside out. Minted is known for its high-quality paper and printing. Minted’s Signature paper is thick and luxurious with a creamy cotton texture, and has been optimized for photo printing. You can also choose 100% recycled paper, Pearlescent paper which adds a subtle shimmer, DoubleThick paper or even TripleThick paper. Minted also offers postcards, ornament cards and 8 unique die-cut shapes.

This year midnight blues, graphic black & white, botanical wreaths, and glittery foil are what’s on-trend for this season. Among this year’s top trends are real foil-pressed holiday cards in gold, silver and rose gold and photo letterpress holiday cards featuring the luxurious look and feel of letterpress paired with unique inks and vibrant colors.

I’m loving the #hashtag #happyholiday card you see on the top left, of course! And this lovely “gilded woodgrain” is so elegant. Do you send holiday cards? Here’s what I do with the ones our family receives.

More to come soon!
