You guys! I’m so excited to share this post with you! As you may remember, we moved in to our new house in September. After the long process, the move itself and getting the boys back into their school routine, I had no energy left (or time!) to start decorating our new home. I said, “I’ll wait til the new year to start.” …and I did!
So when you walk in through the front door we have this wonderful space with a bench and storage. It was a blank canvas. I knew I wanted to soften the area with a fuzzy rug and pillows.
This “Mi Casa Su Casa” pillow was the inspiration for it all. I love this trendy style of having positive phrases on cute pillows. They are my favorite. Pero en español? Me muero!! I had to get it. It was on sale at Nordstrom when I found it. This happens to me all the time! If I find one piece of anything that I absolutely love, I work around it to complete the look I envision in my head. So I worked around the pillow. I found this faux-fur rug at Pottery Barn that FEELS like real fur. It’s super soft and some of my guests have already commented on its supple texture. I picked the other gold/ivory pillows from Target to match.
THIS HOLA sign! Not only did I already have the Spanish phrase pillow, but this was the perfect size, the perfect materials and will simply make anyone feel very welcomed in our home. The sign is made out of sheet metal and iron and is lightweight.
I think this entryway totally describes us, doesn’t it? And yes, we hand glasses of bubbly when someone walks in! 😉 P.s. Did you guys catch Hubby hanging it all up on Snapchat? Follow me (MyFriendBetty) for all the behind-the-scenes as we continue to work on new projects!
