A couple of months ago, Mallika, Rupa and I decided to collaborate and hold a workshop that would benefit local business owners and entrepreneurs who would like to grow their online presence. Because we are very involved in network organizations that focus on business growth, we have met countless of people who felt overwhelmed by the thought of blogging for their business and everything and anything social media. Time and time again people would comment that they wished they could blog more but didn’t have the time or topic ideas. They would also ask for Instagram tips and always had Facebook Business Page questions. We noticed their social media posts were not set up to engage with their potential clients and we knew we could help.

These platforms have been crucial to our personal businesses and Mallika, Rupa and I knew we could simplify and demystify this big social media world for many. We decided to only focus on blogging, Facebook and Instagram and came up with a program that would help entrepreneurs dig deep to find creative content, and gathered all our tools and tips to help others succeed. So we did what we do best and had our first #LearnSocial workshop last Wednesday.

It was a success! The ten people who attended ranged from those just starting a business to some who were thinking of opening up their second! They learned to really pin point their ideal audience. We had them go straight to work and through brainstorm exercises they created a list of content ideas and set social medial goals. They also learned the do’s and don’ts of these popular social platforms and we immersed them in case studies of business owners who are rocking digital marketing now.

Rita Desnoyers-Garcia of Becoming Awake says, ” I learned a lot, made some wonderful connections and have nuggets to digest for the months and years to come.” And Ipshita Ghosh of Aangan Academy says, “So glad I went to this workshop … your pillars for content writing is thought-provoking and pretty comprehensive. Now I know I have something to guide me as I start (fingers-crossed) to blog! You gals left us wanting more.”

You know how after a 3 hour class, you start looking at the clock and are pretty much ready to go? Our first class didn’t want to leave! Hahaha! That was really the best compliment and personally reminded me of how good it felt to teach. Mallika, Rupa and I decided right then and there to check our schedules and create a second class ASAP! If you are available June 8th, register HERE and join us! You won’t want to leave either and you’ll be ready to take your business to a whole different level.

A huge thanks to our sponsors who provided the ultimate swag bag items for our attendees:
