Inspire me to read…

January 8, 2014

Happy New Year!!! It’s Cristalia! Part of my new year resolution is to read more books in 2014. As Rick Holland said, “The world belongs to those who read.”, so read on!

I’ve always been fascinated by books. When I was very young, I dreamed of having a room in the house with huge wooden shelves across the walls filled with books. My very own library. But to be honest, I didn’t like to read. I hated homework and although I always did do my homework (because I had to) I didn’t like to read books. I liked the idea of reading but at the time, I didn’t see it as something fun…it was just homework.

I started enjoying books when I moved back to New York City and had to find something to do during my 1 hour train rides going to college. Now, I read for pleasure and when I am not reading a book, I am probably looking for one.

I hope that this post and the beautiful wall art pieces above inspire you and and your family to start reading more in this new year. Cheers!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to read. Do you have a list of favorite books or must reads that you can share?

Maria, I enjoy reading love stories but I am usually all over the place. Right now I am reading a business book called “Give and Take” by Adam Grant.
I also try to track my reads on Goodreads. Here’s my link https://www.goodreads.com/cristaliag

      Do you have a list?

I read the Not Quite Dating (Not Quite series) books – the last book of the series was released last November and I loved them all.
