Beauty of Nature

DSC_1749This is a compensated campaign in collaboration with AVEENO and Latina Bloggers Connect. However, all statements and opinions are my own.

We all want our families to eat fresh and in the most healthiest and cleanest way possible. When I think about how my family in Mexico ate two generations ago (and way before that), I wish we could all take off the land in the same way. I strive for that and appreciate the all-natural tips my mother taught me for cooking in my home and the bath and beauty tips she shared for me and my family.

All-natural all the time is the way to go. This inspirational Aveeno “Beauty of Nature” video, narrated by Jennifer Aniston, completely celebrates the abundance of ingredients nature has to offer. It reminded me so much of one of my mother’s finest natural beauty tip: oats for the skin is a must! Please take a look:

By understanding and acknowledging our elders’ recommendations to use nature for a healthier lifestyle–and using science to help explain the oat’s mighty benefits– Aveeno is a perfect example of the combination of both.

Best known for its use in food, oat is actually one of nature’s best kept beauty secrets. It has five vital elements found in healthy skin: proteins, anti-oxidants, enzymes, vitamins and lipids. I trust Aveeno on my skin and am consistent in applying it in my beauty routine. Nevertheless, my family also benefits from Aveeno’s power to soothe, moisturize and protect.

I see my mother’s natural beauty in my sons. Keeping their skin healthy is just as important to me as what I prepare for them to eat on a daily basis. I’m including Aveeno’s Daily Moisturizing Bath Wash and Aveeno’s Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion in their evening bath routine. In the morning, after washing up, they started to pick up Aveeno’s Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion with sunscreen. All perfect for the sunny days that lay ahead!

What natural ingredient beauty tip did your mother pass down to you? Please share!

Aveeno is a great skin care line. There was a time when I suffered from skin pruritus and my doctor prescribed the moisturizing lotion! It really worked, eversince this is what I am using not only moisturizing but very gentle to skin as well.

You know, I didn’t know Aveeno carried it until I received my sample. We are loving it! It isn’t heavy and smells great!

The eczema cream works well on my toddler. I’ve also used the aveeno soothing baby bath treatment for diaper rash, it worked really well. My Karinita’s skin is so sensitive so we have used the sunblock for the whole family now. Thanks for sharing Betty!
