Hi! I hope you had a great week! Are you ready for Father’s Day? We are only halfway there. Special treat: Jose’s brother (Diego’s godfather) will be in town this weekend so it will be a double celebration this Sunday! My sister-in-law is also one of my BFFs and together we will shop for the guys. In the mean time, I listened to the seven exceptional fathers I know and decided to go with a DIY gift as well for Jose from the boys.
Two of them are still very young, and to be honest, I’m not very crafty. I thought a lot about how I never made my dad gifts and realized how important it is for the men too. So I dressed my boys up in Jose’s favorite teams (all three sports were represented), I made very simple signs and took a few pictures with my iPhone. The four of us then went shopping for frames.
The boys “shopping”.
We bought two frames because I also found this really cool questionnaire (the blog is gorgeous!) after digging around Pinterest but decided to tweak it a bit and make our own. Diego and I are perfectionists so it took a few copies to get it right. By the end of it we almost didn’t like each other!! We were so thrilled when we were done! jajaja!
Jose is going to love that height and weight!
Jose is…I’m about to cry…Jose is a fantastic father and we love him so, so much. Times like this make me extra happy to keep this blog. I share so many moments with you but it is also my life in words and it will forever be here for my family.
The frames are ready to go to Jose’s place of business!
I hope this inspires you to come up with a really special DIY Father’s Day gift! Feel free to take these ideas! And I want to hear all about your great gifts!
Have a great weekend!
P.s. I have given clear wife instructions to Jose NOT to read my blog all weekend long. ja!
