I am Latina, a wife, a teacher, a friend and I have been a stay-at-home mom for six years now! I have learned so much and not just about raising children. My close friends have been following my writing for some time now so I decided to take the plunge and throw myself out there. Rather than writing only about my personal experiences, I thought about starting My Friend Betty Says to share things that are working for me and my family, to share resources I find helpful as a teacher, to share what I think about current and popular topics, to share what I have read, and most importantly, to share what inspires me.
